If someone tried to invent a hellish scenario to scare me into salvation, then they would have began to describe the nightmare that is featureprice.com. Like an idiot I believed an "independent" review site and fell for it. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND NO SERVER SERVICE!!! MY PAGES HAVE BEEN UP ON THEIR SERVER FOR A WEEK AND STILL "SERVER NOT FOUND" WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO ACCESS IT. Add to that the money I spent on a magazine ad this month and I AM FURIOUS!!! I am praying the company folds or the office burns down.

FeaturePrice offers numerous guarantees that they can't substantiate. 24/7 tech support? They claim it, but try getting through (always a busy signal, or "call back later"). Try their "helpdesk support". Well, that doesn't even work properly. OK then...email them directly. They never answer! How about their 99.9% promised uptime? I can't say, because their server was down at least 8 hours straight until I immediately changed hosts. When it did connect, it was so slow.
The galling matter is that it's hard to get refunds from this company. Because of their lack of contact, I've had to get a "chargeback" to my credit card which they can dispute. What a mess. Avoid FeaturePrice like the plague! Really, do a Google search for "FeaturePrice problems" to hear the horror stories if you still want to sign up with them.

I have 5 websites hosted at featureprice. It's a pretty good value at about $4.50 per domain and unlimited email, and customers service used to be ok, but they're having problems with their partner, hosting-network, and now it is virtually impossible to get in touch with customers service, and they do not reply at all to any emails. This is bordering on one of the most frustrating businesses I've ever deal with and I would say STAY AWAY!!

Bargain company with a few major flaws

I have had four websites hosted by featureprice over the past year. Without a doubt this company offers a great bang for the buck in terms of comparative bandwidth and diskspace. Given the low cost of servers and harddrives these days, I find it hard to believe how other hosting companies can justify what they charge....featureprice does what they all should be doing. Two major drawbacks however, prevent me from giving this company the top rating that it would otherwise deserve. My number 1 gripe is the disorganization of their helpdesk and lack of response when it comes to truly technical issues. A particular complaint in this regard is the fact that I have had access to the cgi-bin of one of my sites closed to me and all attempt to have the issue resolved have been ignored. Since this site relies heavily on cgi scripts, this is an intolerable and inexcusable situation. In general, almost all of my requests to the helpdesk have required several attempts before being resolved unless they were of a very simple nature. My second major complaint is server downtime... I have experienced approximately 4 to five hours a month of downtime on my sites, far above the stated 99.9% uptime advertised. Were it not for the great price, I would have already cancelled. Bottomline...look elsewhere if these issues are important to you.

Just started with them and I don't think I'll last past the 30 day guarantee period. Beware. They didn't think 10 hours for email delivery to be a problem. So.........

Several reasons why not to use Featureprice - huge amount of downtime (50%+), never reply to emails, many technical problems with their implementations of Perl and PHP. They basically don't know what they are doing. Be warned.

You can't beat Featureprice for disk space for your buck, but they go down entirely too much. The 5 sites I host there have all been down for about 5 hours now. Featureprice's support page, and their main page, has been down for just as long. I'm starting to wonder if they didnt just go belly up on us. Their email based support is decent, not great. The phone support is shaky at best.
If you're a do-it yourself tech-savvy person, you'll be able to set things up. But if you're a novice, their web-based control panel is simply awful compared to others I've seen. They really need to upgrade that thing.
Overall, I'd still recommend them for hosting personal sites, because of the value, but not for business sites, because of the downtime.

I have used FeaturePrice for close to 2 years, started with the budget plan 1st year and than went for their Platinum Plan the next year. GREAT value for the money and VERY FAST servers. All customer service issues have been handled very quickly. except one. Downtime is minimal, 3 times I can remember in 2 years. I plan on renewing again. Users of my site (mainly FTP) have found the speed fantastic.

I found feature price to be excellent. I don't really recommend it for a novice user, but if you have experience creating websites and you know HTML, JavaScript, or VBScript code and you know ftp means "File transfer protocol." Then I definitely recommend it. I think Feature price is more for an advanced user and not a novice user. I love Feature Price. For the price you can't beat the amount of web space they give you nor can you beat the fact that you can do Perl and have access to a SQL database! Awesome!!! The only thing I wish Feature Price had was a category were you can pay for online advertisement. For example, I wish it would make available a special price to advertise on search engines, like AOL, Yahoo. Ask, Webcrawler, Lycos...ect. Overall, I really, really liked Feature price and I would definitely recommend it for the more advanced user! Also, the helpdesk had responded to my troubleticket within 2 hours. Awesome!
