Having been a client for many years and endured endless grief, I have found it difficult to migrate my site due the losses of info and difficulties to download or even backup years of work and move to another provider, because of inadequacies of Jumpline.com. Far too often of late (June 2007 to Sep 2007), the entire system, including the Jumpline.com website is going off line and leaving customer sites inaccessible for lengthy periods of time (up to 8 hours at a time). Today, 12 September 2007 is just another instance of this occurrence. For a supposed professional service, they are on a par with a back yard rookie hosting provider!

I have heard of many people having problems with jumpline when they did there upgrade. Mine were minimal. I had to edit 2 lines on a script and that was about it. Other than that they have been great. It was hard to get a response for the first couple of weeks after the upgrade but it has gotten alot better since. I submitted a support request the other day and got a response in 15 minutes! I have not had such good service any where I have hosted a site.

Jumline tried to perform an upgrade and failed misserably. I lost any data that had been changed in the previous couple of weeks. They have left their phones unanswered. They give general cover-all-situation answers to their support request. They will be lucky to have any customers left when they are done. E-mail by the dozen were lost. Address books kept on web site email were lost. They need to seriously review their procedures.

The same thing happened to me. While all this craziness with my site was going on they stopped answering their phones (this includes sales and support) and would not return e-mails. THEY SUCK!

I agree with the above poster, and had the same experience. They lost 2 weeks worth of files, gave me a tech support runaround, and now have disconnected their customer service line! Take your business elsewhere.

Jumpline has revamped policies and left sites busted. They took MySQL and ssh access away from basic accounts and stranded sites. They never notified clients of this and have been slow to respond. They are technically weak and do not backup the site when they say they do. They seem to be making up new policies on the fly. I would not recommend this web hoster.
