VMhosting.com is easily one of the top hosting companies in the nation. First of all, there is literally a package for everyone, ranging from a 250MB starter to a massive 2GB linux package.
Every feature you could want or need is standard, for example: ftp access, perl, daily backups,chatrooms, shopping carts, ssl manager etc. plus various other add-ons at reasonable rates. VM also takes care of domain registration.
The support network is very well developed with various forums and tech support by email is prompt, and get this: Free!
The cheapest package is $6.95, a steal by any standards and accounts can be set up in 15 minutes if you pay by credit card.
Anyways, to wrap things up, the site is easy to navigate and all faqs are laid out in a user friendly manner.
If you're looking for a basic web host or one with advanced features, you can't do much better than this one.
